He described the launching ceremony as historic and significant to the people of Kailahun, noting that the people of Kailahun had waited for over thirty years to witness the construction of the road.

He said his government intends to fulfill its election campaign promises, adding that as a government its priority is to improved infrastructure in the country. He said as President, he is destined to complete the good work the APC started in the seventies, especially in roads infrastructure.

The remaining fifty percent, he went on, is to complete the remaining Pendembu-Koindu road.

The President assured that everybody is going to benefit from the infrastructure, as it will enhance the development economy of the country. He called on the people to be part of the road construction by helping to supervise and monitor the road work.

He recalled how eight Members of Parliament from Kailahun district paid him a courtesy call to thank him for the effort he has made for the commencement of the construction of the road. On his part, he urged the MPs to be involved in the supervision and monitoring of the road construction.
