I read with keen interest the crusade mounted on and by the Exclusive newspaper on the current state of our all time youngest Head of State and Chairman of the National Provisional Ruling Council (NPRC) Captain Valentine Strasser. Did I hear you say he’s dying from hardship and neglect, hmmm what a pity? But what I don’t understand is how can a former Head of State who spent all his days in office busy garnering wealth for himself is broke in so short a time to the point of not being able to afford a day’s meal? I seriously think something is wrong somewhere. But let’s not be naive into trying to blame people or even the government for the state of Captain Strasser. The law of nature states that you reap what you sow you don’t plant lemon and expect to reap mango. That’s the law of retributive justice and remember the evil that men do no longer lives after them but rather with them. So what we should be doing now to help him is trace our minds back to the NPRC days and see where he as Chairman went wrong. What did he do and failed to do?

I can see Christopher is a real Strasserist as he refers to himself. That is very impressive but not enough. In highlighting the achievements of his boss Lt Christopher left out a very important achievement, the massacre of Bambay Kamara and twenty eight others. I tell you one thing Lieutenant this is the one thing that the Strasser administration is remembered for the most. So why don’t we revisit this incident and maybe, just maybe we’ll be able to get an answer to what our once loved and cherished former Head of State is going through today. For the truth they say shall set us free. The killings of Bambay Kamara, Salami Coker, Yayah kanu and others was a massacre and therefore a crime against humanity. Not only that it was a crime against God, the creator of mankind, the author and finisher of our fate.

The blood of these innocent souls was spilt and there is this thing about blood. Especially the blood of the innocent, guess what? It speaks. What did the Bible says in Exodus about the blood of Abel? Abel was murdered by his brother out of jealousy (do we see the same scenario here). Cane dug a hole and dumped his brother’s body confident that no one saw him and he was right no one saw him. But what happen? We are told that the blood of Abel cries out to God for vengeance, we know the rest of the story. How about the blood of Jesus? The Bible says in Hebrews 12:24 that the blood of Jesus the mediator of a new covenant speaks better things than the blood of Abel. What do we learn from the above instances; that in the realms of the spirit the blood have mouth and can speak, it have ears and it also have eyes that can see.

So from all of the above I think it’s safe to say that what Strasser is going through is as a result of the role he played in the killings of those innocent souls. Today the blood of those innocent souls is seeking revenge and I call it vengeance by the blood. Mark my words there’s nothing anyone or even the government can do to remedy his (Strasser’s) situation. For his predicament is not the doing of any man but Mother Nature, the law of retributive justice. Don’t bother to tell me SAJ Musa did it. Don’t you dear tell me Val took no part in it because you don’t want me to remind you about the press release from the Supreme Council of State read by Karefa Kargbo that was signed by the Head of State. Also remember what the Special Court for Sierra Leone has thought us about bearing the greatest responsibility.

So do I hear you say that he’s suffering? Come off it my friends this guy hasn’t suffered anything yet. As a matter of fact this guy doesn’t know the true meaning of suffering. Remember we’ve been suffering ever since they killed our parents and loved ones. You want to know what suffering is. Why don’t you go ask my mum what she went through in raising me up all by herself? Or better still how about asking the mother of Salami Coker, let her tell you about the emotional torture she’s been through these past seventeen (17) years. How about the family of that palm wine tapper who had to pull palm wine for his family to survive. Only for him to leave home one faithful morning never to return. The woman with the seven months pregnancy, I can go on and on, the list is endless. Let us be the ones to talk about suffering. Even as I write this piece we are yet to secure the release of our father’s assets that were confiscated by the NPRC junta. Should I go on? I guess not. As the prosecutor will say I rest my case.
