  The first Sierra Leonean to be elected a Freeholder in the United States of America has taken the oath of office.  

The Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Chief Samuel Sam Sumana, has on behalf of His Excellency the President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and the entire membership of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC), accepted Honourable Dauda Tombo Bangura and about 650 former supporters of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), into the ranks of the APC.  

The Community Health Officer in Binkoilo Town, Safroko Limba Chiefdom in the Bombali District, Mr. Joseph S. Bangura has disclosed to this newspaper that, Teenage pregnancy is on the increase in the chiefdom.
