The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Sam Sumana has joined other major stakeholders to call for a review of the Sierra Leone Radiation Protection Act of 2001. Alhaji Chief Samuel Sam-Sumana added his voice to the issue when delivering a key note address while formally opening a three-day national sensitization seminar on radiation protection legislation and regulation for Parliamentarians and other stakeholders.

The appointment of Mr. Oumar Farouk Sesay as Chairman of the newly formed Youth Commission has sent panic among various sections of youths across Sierra Leone. Large portion of youths have raised concerns over the age of the Chairman and the terms of reference of the Chairman and that of the Youth Commissioner.
